Squeezing in a quick Family Files post before our busy Sunday begins. I've been hoarding so many pictures to share with you all!
The Princess said she was bored one morning (seriously only 10 minutes after she woke up, really??), but I humored her and made a quick batch of playdough. It entertained them for hours. My mom used this recipe when I was a kid. It's super easy... I only had about half of the cream of tartar it called for and it still turned out great! (recipe below)
The Princess's turn to bring snack to Tball. She had a blast this Summer!
We have been trying to recreate THIS coffee at home. Which leads us to the next picture. . .
Homemade Mocha Syrup! Recipe here. I brew our coffee (hazelnut/vanilla) at night and stick it in the fridge. In the morning I use 3 TBS of syrup, 1 cup of cold coffee, and 1/2 cup of milk. Stir and add ice. YUM!
I have been collecting the girls' Fall/Winter wardrobe through Thred Up. I have always had a great experience with them. Like new brand name clothing for cheap? Yes please! Occasionally they find a "flaw" while packing and I get the item for free. . . I have yet to find the flaw that they found!
Only some of our order
I've been attempting to sew (squares mostly!) I made the girls some little dolls with sleeping bags. They loved them. Hammie especially loved the "animal dolls".
The Princess helped me hand-sew her dolls
We have been having fun making our own ice cream. See Homemade Ice Cream post here
We also tried "Banana Ice Cream" Full recipe here
It looks a little strange at first
But then it turns to ice cream consistency!
Add some cocoa powder and peanut butter and you have yummy ice cream!
My mom and I have been experimenting with our own laundry detergents and dryer sheets. Blog post here
A trip to Color Me Mine (Hammie's first time painting)
The finished products
Daddy and The Princess having a daddy/daughter dance in the living room
Thank goodness for the library and the fun stuff we can bring home every week! The Princess LOVES puzzles. She will sit and work on it until it's complete, then likes to "surprise" us with the finished product!
The girls working out with Mommy! I will miss these years.
The girls seeing their first hockey game!
Read yesterday that there are 940 Saturdays between your child's day of birth and their 18th birthday. I'm glad we made the most of this one!
