Our 4th of July:
The Princess went to her violin lesson on the 4th so we made her teacher a little 4th S'mores plate.
We tried to theme the whole day out, including meals and snacks. Here are our "fruit rockets".
Whipping Cream
Whipping Cream: Whipped. You can add powdered sugar to sweeten it, but I think it's fine when it's mixed with already sweet fruit.
Ended up being a pretty cute snack!
Hammie all themed out with her Honest July diaper
Fireworks Paintings! We folded some pipecleaners together to make a firework shape and stamped them.
AND there was some hand painting involved.
Finished Fireworks paintings. We taped them up to the window because we ran out of room to dry them, but kept them up because we liked it so much! We sprinkled glitter on them (while wet) so at night they sparkle like real fireworks on the windows.
Between Princess's feet and Hammie's hands we made a flag decoration for the door.
And of course, the 4th would not be complete without a trip to see the fireworks.

Daddy and his girls |
The girls have been having so much fun with this adorable tea set they received as a gift! Every little girls dream? I think so!
Puppy LOVES when we get to the bottom of the Peanut Butter.
Made my own laundry soap with a friend's recipe and bar of tangerine/vanilla Honest soap! Watch for a future Blog entry! After talking with my cousin, I will be making my own dryer sheets too!
Another future Blog post: Our new natural toothpaste :)
The Princess has been keeping very busy this Summer. One of her favorite activities: Swim lessons!
Yep. We had a birthday party for the cat. Any excuse for some cake, right? (kitty turned 9. . . in case you were wondering)
And for the last set of pictures: We once again, in an attempt to make this small house work for our growing family (meaning our girls are growing. . . no babies on the way!) we played musical rooms and switched the girls back to their rightful room. Now that I have beds all figured out (bunk bed in the girls future) we were able to take the master bedroom back and put the girls back in their decorated room. I am STILL recovering from switching rooms. I still have so much to organize and put away. Below: The girls room almost finished. Besides a couple of pictures to hang and the curtains.
Another reason we are trying to make some extra room is for homeschool in the Fall! After much deliberation and taking a look at where The Princess is academically and what she would be learning this coming Fall at preschool mixed with the cost we have decided that homeschooling the year before kindergarten would be most beneficial. After talking to some awesome homeschooling moms in my life, mixed with my preschool teaching experiences, we are pretty excited about this Fall! (I'm sure I can get some Blog posts out of our homeschool adventures! New series??)
Decals on the walls are a mix of Uppercase Living, Target, and Babies R Us. :) The Target and Babies R Us ones stick and stick again many times, lucky for us!
Hope you enjoyed a glimpse of our daily life.
